Who is Charlene Rene?
I am Charlene Rene Coles, also known as Charlene Rene was born in Hawaii, raised in southern California, but I grew up in Pensacola, FL. I am a product of the one and only University of Florida’s Gator Nation where I received my BA degree.
Upon graduation, I set out on a path of finding myself and helping my community in the process, eventually leading me to pursue my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I truly believe everything we are, and everything we do, goes back to our roots, starting with our own families and what happened to us growing up. Until we are able to heal what struggles we face internally, it is difficult for us to show up fully and healthy in the outward areas of our lives. Helping individuals and families to heal, grow, and thrive is my goal.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 teenage sons, reading, making playlists, and jam roller skating. I LOVE music, colorful Converse shoes, and as a HUGE Golden Girls fan, of course I love cheesecake!
I have a history of helping others master the art of communication and connection–both to themselves and others through relationship counseling and/or individual counseling that is focused on stress and anxiety relief and mastering the art of self-care.
Adults of all ages have successfully worked with me to resolve issues of stress, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next while going through critical life changes and personal challenges.
I also have many years of experience working with adolescents 12-19 and helping them work through a phase of life issues including struggling with their identity, low motivation, peer pressure, insecurities, social anxiety, and low self-esteem.
My knowledge and training in both relationship and individual issues give me a unique insight into how to help you create a healthy and balanced life. I am also certified in hypnotherapy, Prepare/Enrich Facilitation, Sound Healing, and TF-CBT. I use an integrative and customized approach to therapy which may include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Family Systemic, and Sound Healing Therapy techniques.
Charlene is amazing and has changed my life in so many ways. She is a compassionate listener and always has a way of eloquently summing up my feelings so I can understand them from a different perspective. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who wants to practice self care and address their mental health and well being.
Incredible counseling services! Charlene is remarkable! Very satisfied.
Charlene, has been a very good listener and has brought to light many interesting and helpful points regarding our relationship dynamic and how we can better ourselves as individuals and as a couple. It has been great having a 3rd party listen and provide advice on what the next steps are to improve our relationship.
