Some experiences of anxiety can be considered a normal part of everyday life changes and challenges. However, if left unchecked and symptoms become more intense and frequent, it can develop into what can be considered an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders may involve persistent and reoccurring feelings of intense anxiety and fear or terror that may reach a peak within minutes (panic attacks).
These feelings of anxiety and panic can interfere with daily activities, are difficult to control, are out of proportion to the actual danger, and can last a long time. You may avoid places or situations to prevent these feelings. Symptoms may start during childhood or the teen years and continue into adulthood.
Why Stop Worrying with Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy can be in effective tool to use to combat feelings of fear and worry because it tackles the source of your concern where it starts: in your mind. Negative thoughts and feelings can be difficult to change once they become a habit so hypnotherapy seeks to “retrain the brain”. The process involves being able to intentionally access the subconscious mind through specific relaxation techniques and the power of suggestion so that your brain can begin to develop new habitual thoughts that are more helpful and realistic.
